Thank you to those of you who have attended your child's conference. If yours is coming up, I am looking forward to sharing what we have been doing in class.
Even though it is a short week, we have had lots of things going on. It seems like the first quarter just flew by, I am excited to see what second quarter will bring us.
Don't forget to check the comments below to see what we have been up to!
In science we learned about body systems in class and how they work. The first system we learned about is the Digestive system, and it's not as disgusting as it sounds! We also learned about the Skeletal system, the Nervous system, the Circulatory system, the Respitory system, and the Muscular system. It's very intresting and fun to learn about. Now with learning the body systems we also learned about bones the and that there are 208 bones in the body, hopefully we won't have to get tested on that!
ReplyDeleteThis week in our class we had reading. We just finished the book Love, Ruby Lavender. We thought that it was a very good book with lots of excitement in it. When we finished the book we celebrated by having root beer floats with our book buddies. The reason for the rootbeer floats was because the character in the book shared floats with his teacher. The book was about Ruby and her grandma who went to Hawaii and they wrote letters to each other. The lesson of the book was to not bully each other, it was also about to be friends with one another, not judge people, don't be mean to them.
ReplyDeleteIn social studies we have been talking about elections. We are learning the rules about presidents. They have alot of debates before there presidents. There are two different parties of congress. The presidents go though a elminiation process and in the end there are only two left to go aginst each other.A president must have lived in the US for 14 years, over the age of 35, and be born in the USA (natural born) to be prsident. You have to be over 18 years to vote for president. We also learned that the constitution and what the amendments they are. We also learned about what articles are about. You can also vote for whoever you want to vote for. Some people are Republicans and Democrats.
